Toots and the Maytals and
Bigga Rhythm
6/06/00 Flamingo Cantina A pretty good reggae show, but it would have been better if Toots hadn't insisted that the crowd sing more than he did, and if he didn't change the rhythm of every song at the end to a fast rock-n-roll beat.
Papa Mali  and the Wild Propadillos and Zydeco Ranch 6/03/00 Waterloo Park Aaron's first live music experience, at the Bayou Boogie and Crawfish Festival.  Pretty cool -- he got to hear "Hey Pocky Way" and "Iko-Iko".
Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band 4/17/00 Frank Erwin Center The Boss has still got it, and the E Street Band sounded great.  The highlight for me was when Joe Ely came up and sang "All Just to Get to You" with Bruce and the band.
King Sunny Ade 4/14/00 La Zona Rosa It's been a few years since I had seen King Sunny, but he still plays jammin juju music.
